Give attention somewhere useful to go
Content can earn attention without giving people a clear way to continue. A useful funnel connects the question that brought someone to you with a resource, a next action, and an appropriate offer. This lesson uses the Funnel System in the 4T framework to help you map that path. You will work backward from a paid outcome you can genuinely deliver. Then you will choose a free resource that helps the same audience make progress on a related problem. Every step should make sense on its own.
Understand the full framework
The workbook names four elements: Lead Magnet, Tripwire, Core Offer, and Upsell. The lead magnet provides useful free value in exchange for an email address. A tripwire is an accessible initial paid offer. The core offer is your main product or service. An upsell adds suitable value after a purchase. This is a planning framework, not a requirement to build four products before you begin. For a simple consulting funnel, you can start with useful free training and an invitation to discuss implementation support.
Work backward from delivery
Start with the offer you can deliver now. Write down who it helps, what is included, what the customer must contribute, and what is outside the scope. Then ask what someone needs to understand or complete before that offer would be useful. If your service helps a business improve its sales process, a conversation review worksheet may be a relevant starting point. A broad inspirational download might attract attention, but the connection to that service would be harder for the learner to understand.
Make the free resource stand alone
A strong free resource helps someone do something specific. It might organize a weekly plan, clarify an audience question, or prepare a better discovery conversation. The 4T workbook explicitly emphasizes quality and brand integrity even when the resource is free. Do not hide the promised answer behind another purchase. Deliver the download or lesson clearly, explain where to begin, and give the learner one action. The paid offer can add personal feedback, implementation help, or accountability once the person understands what they are working on.
Write one clear invitation
Use an invitation that describes the actual next step. Watch the first lesson is different from apply for consulting. On a signup page, explain what access includes and what email communication the person is choosing. On the resource page, direct them to the relevant lesson. After the exercise, an appropriate invitation might ask whether they want help applying it to their business. Avoid competing requests on the same screen. Clarity helps people decide whether the next step is useful for them.
Review the path using real behavior
Measure the steps separately. A visit is not a signup, opening a lesson is not completing it, and clicking a consulting link is not a sale. Start with the reliable information your tools actually collect. Check whether people receive access, understand the resource, and reach a relevant next step. If a step loses people, inspect the promise, the experience, and the audience before adding urgency. Use customer questions alongside the numbers. A confusing instruction or broken link can matter more than another persuasive paragraph.
Draw your first connected path
In the exercise, map one content topic to one free resource and one paid next step. Write the promise at each stage and explain why it belongs there. Include the action that delivers access and the measure you will use to review the path. For Law of Ambition, the academy introduces the frameworks, the exercises support independent application, and consulting offers personal help where there is a suitable fit. Your own path should be equally understandable before you spend money sending more people through it.

Illustrative example
Connect the homepage lesson to brand consulting
Hypothetical example: a solo brand consultant serves independent cafes through a four week brand clarity project. All counts, conversations, and business details below are illustrative.
- What paid outcome can you deliver?
- A four week brand clarity project for independent cafes, including a positioning brief, a message guide, and a homepage copy outline. The owner supplies business information and reviews drafts; website development is outside the scope.
- What useful free resource prepares them?
- A free homepage clarity worksheet helps an owner explain their audience, distinct experience, and customer’s next step. It remains useful even if they never hire the consultant.
- What content question leads into it?
- A short post answers what a cafe homepage should explain before asking someone to visit. Its invitation leads to the worksheet for the same problem.
- What happens at each step?
- The post links to a short signup page, which delivers the worksheet on the next page. After completing it, an owner can choose to discuss a paid project if they want personal help applying the work.
- How will you review the path?
- Record page visits, saved signups, and inquiries using available tools. Qualify inquiries through an actual conversation, and record sales only when a purchase occurs; opening the worksheet alone does not prove it was completed.
